May 8 – City of Malibu hosts the PCH Safety Video and Kids Bike Safety Rodeo

2:00pm Malibu Library Come out and enjoy the day!

Please join the City of Malibu for the premiere of the new PCH Safety Video & Kids Bike Safety Rodeo on Friday, May 8 at 2 pm at Malibu Library! The fun, free event is part of a multi-agency effort by Malibu, Senators Fran Pavley & Ben Allen, Assemblymember Richard Bloom, and the California Office of Traffic Safety to promote safety on PCH. After a press conference and screening of the new PCH Safety Video, we’ll kick off the bicycle safety rodeo for kids ages 4-13 hosted by Safe Moves, an L.A.-based non-profit organization dedicated to traffic safety education. Kids can navigate a miniature obstacle course with cut-outs of cars, street signs, and traffic signals to learn about  bicycle and traffic safety. There will also be drawings for prizes, refreshments, and a special appearance by “PCH,” one of the characters in the PCH Safety Video.

Kids may bring their own bikes or use bikes and helmets provided by Safe Moves.
